Biography
Steven Lisberger is an American film director, producer, screenwriter and animator. He was born on 24 April 1951 in New York City and grew up in Hazleton, Pennsylvania. He studied at Tufts University.
Lisberger is best known for writing and directing the 1982 science-fiction film Tron, which pioneered extensive use of computer-generated imagery. He also directed and produced the animated television film Animalympics (1980), and directed Hot Pursuit (1987) and Slipstream (1989). He served as producer on Tron: Legacy (2010) and Tron: Ares (2025), and as creative consultant on the latter.
