Biography
Steven Reuther was an American film producer. Born in St. Petersburg, Florida, on 2 November 1951, he died of cancer on 5 June 2010 in Santa Monica, California.
He began his career in the mailroom at the William Morris Agency in the late 1970s before moving into film development and production. Reuther served as executive producer on Dirty Dancing (1987) and produced Pretty Woman (1990). He later formed Douglas/Reuther Productions with Michael Douglas and produced films including The Client (1994), Face/Off (1997), The Rainmaker (1997), Pay It Forward (2000) and The Ugly Truth (2009).
