Sturgill Simpson is an American actor and musician. He is best known for his supporting roles in films including The Dead Don't Die (2019), Queen & Slim (2019), The Hunt (2020), Materna (2020), The Creator (2023) as Drew, and Killers of the Flower Moon (2023) as Henry Grammer. He has also appeared in the television series The Righteous Gemstones (2023).
Born in Jackson, Kentucky, Simpson first gained recognition as a country music artist before expanding into acting. His film roles often feature in independent and mainstream productions alongside established directors such as Jim Jarmusch and Martin Scorsese.
