Biography
Sven-Bertil Taube was a Swedish singer and actor. Born in Stockholm in 1934, he was the son of songwriter Evert Taube and sculptor Astri Bergman Taube. He studied acting at the Royal Dramatic Training Academy in Stockholm from 1959 to 1962 and moved to London in 1969, where he worked in British theatre.
His film roles include the lead in Puppet on a Chain (1971) and Captain von Neustadt in The Eagle Has Landed (1976). He later played Henrik Vanger in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2009) and appeared in Arn: The Knight Templar (2007). Taube maintained a parallel career as a singer, recording numerous albums of Swedish folk songs and ballads, many by his father.
