Biography
Sydney Penny is an American actress. She began her career as a child performer and made her feature film debut as Megan Wheeler in the 1985 Western Pale Rider, directed by and starring Clint Eastwood. She also played young Meggie Cleary in the 1983 miniseries The Thorn Birds, winning a Young Artist Award for the role.
Penny is known for her work in daytime television, portraying Julia Santos Keefer on the soap opera All My Children (1993–2008, with breaks) and Samantha Kelly on The Bold and the Beautiful (2003–2005). She received Daytime Emmy Award nominations for her performances on Santa Barbara and All My Children. Other credits include The New Gidget (1986–1988), Hyperion Bay (1998–1999) and Largo Winch (2001–2003). She has appeared in films such as Bernadette (1988) and its sequel.
