Biography
Sydney Walker (5 May 1921 – 30 September 1994) was an American character actor of stage and screen and a voice artist. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he made his Broadway debut in 1960 as the Archbishop of Canterbury in the original production of Jean Anouilh's Becket. He appeared in numerous Broadway productions through the early 1970s, including a Tony Award nomination for featured actor in The Wild Duck (1967), and was a principal member of the APA–Phoenix Repertory Company.
Walker's film roles include Dr. Shapeley in Love Story (1970), the Old Man in Prelude to a Kiss (1992), the Bus Driver in Mrs. Doubtfire (1993) and Mr. Wankmueller in Getting Even with Dad (1994). He also provided voice characterisation as Deej in The Ewok Adventure (1984) and Ewoks: The Battle for Endor (1985). Later in his career he performed with the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco.
