Biography
Taku Kishimoto (岸本 卓, Kishimoto Taku) is a Japanese anime screenwriter. Born in May 1975 in Hyōgo Prefecture, he graduated from Chiba University with a master's degree and worked as an editor for Cyzo before joining Studio Ghibli.
After leaving Studio Ghibli, he became head screenwriter on Bunny Drop (2011). He has since worked on numerous series, including series composition and writing duties on Haikyu!! (2014–2020), Erased (2016), the Fruits Basket remake (2019–2021), Ranking of Kings (2021–2022), Don't Toy with Me, Miss Nagatoro (2021), Blue Lock (2022) and Sakamoto Days (2025).
