Biography
Tara Lynne O'Neill is a Northern Irish actress. She began her career as a television presenter on Saturday Disney (1993–1996) and The Over the Wall Gang for BBC Northern Ireland.
O'Neill has appeared in film and television roles including The Most Fertile Man in Ireland (1999), Wild About Harry (2000), EastEnders (2002–2003) as Joanne Ryan, Disco Pigs (2001), The Fall (2013–2016), and The Bay (2019). She is best known for playing Ma Mary Quinn in the series Derry Girls (2018–2022).
She also works in theatre and as a writer, with credits including commissions for the Lyric Theatre, Belfast.
