Biography
Ted Markland was an American character actor. Born on 15 January 1933 in Syracuse, New York, he appeared in films and television series from the late 1950s onwards, frequently in Westerns and crime dramas.
He is best known for playing Reno in the NBC series The High Chaparral (1967–1971). Film roles include Luke in The Hired Hand (1971), Hap Arlich in One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest (1975), Hood #2 in Play It Again, Sam (1972), and Deputy Bob in Last Man Standing (1996). He also appeared in episodes of Knight Rider (1982), The A-Team (1983) and Murder, She Wrote (1984).
Markland died on 18 December 2011 in Yucca Valley, California.
