Biography
The Reds are an American rock band from Philadelphia, formed in the late 1970s by guitarist and vocalist Rick Shaffer and keyboardist Bruce Cohen. They released several albums on labels including A&M and Sire before their 1984 album Shake Appeal led to collaborations with director Michael Mann.
The band contributed original music and songs to the films Manhunter (1986), for which they composed and performed alongside Michel Rubini, Band of the Hand (1986) and A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge (1985), as well as music for episodes of the television series Miami Vice.
