Biography

Ti West is an American filmmaker, writer and editor, best known for his work in horror. Born Timon C. West on 5 October 1980 in Wilmington, Delaware, he studied at the School of Visual Arts in New York.

West made his feature debut with The Roost (2005) and went on to direct The House of the Devil (2009), The Innkeepers (2011) and the Western In a Valley of Violence (2016). He wrote, directed and edited the horror trilogy comprising X (2022), Pearl (2022) and MaXXXine (2024). He has also directed television episodes, including for Poker Face (2023) and the series Widow's Bay (2026).
