Biography
Tim Long is a Canadian comedy writer and producer. Born on 14 June 1969 in Brandon, Manitoba, he grew up in Exeter, Ontario, and studied English literature at University College, Toronto, followed by graduate studies at Columbia University.
He began his career writing for Spy magazine and Politically Incorrect, and served as head writer on the Late Show with David Letterman. Long joined the writing staff of The Simpsons in 1998 and has contributed numerous episodes while rising to co-executive producer. He was a consulting writer on The Simpsons Movie (2007) and wrote the film The Exchange (2021).
Long has won multiple Emmy awards for his television work.
