Biography
Timothy Harris is an American screenwriter, producer and author, also credited as Timothy Hyde Harris. Born in Los Angeles in 1946, he began publishing fiction in the late 1960s and moved into screenwriting in the early 1980s.
Harris has collaborated extensively with Herschel Weingrod. Their joint screenplays include Trading Places (1983), Brewster's Millions (1985), Twins (1988), Kindergarten Cop (1990) and Space Jam (1996). The pair also produced Falling Down (1993). Harris has received nominations for a BAFTA Award for Best Original Screenplay and an Annie Award.
He has written several novels, including the Thomas Kyd detective series beginning with Kyd for Hire (1977).
