Biography
Timothy Hutton is an American actor and director. Born in Malibu, California, he made his feature film debut as Conrad Jarrett in Robert Redford's Ordinary People (1980). His performance earned him the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor at the age of 20, making him the youngest recipient of the award in that category.
Hutton has appeared in numerous films and television series. Notable roles include those in Taps (1981), The Falcon and the Snowman (1985) and The Dark Half (1993). On television, he starred as Archie Goodwin in A Nero Wolfe Mystery (2000–2002) and as Nathan Ford in Leverage (2008–2012). He has also appeared in The Ghost Writer (2010), All the Money in the World (2017), The Haunting of Hill House (2018) and The Night Agent (2023).
