Biography

Tina Holmes is an American actress. She grew up in New York City and Connecticut, attended Yale University for two years, studied French literature at the Sorbonne in Paris, and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Comparative Literature from Brown University. After graduation she returned to Paris as a research assistant on a documentary about Jean Genet and spent time at the Federal University of Pernambuco in Brazil.

Holmes began her film career in 1998 with the lead role of Maggie in Edge of Seventeen. She appeared as Rachel in Half Nelson (2006) and as Jeanne in Shelter (2007). On television she had a recurring role as Maggie Sibley in Six Feet Under (2004–2005) and guest roles in series including Grey's Anatomy, House, Prison Break, Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, Criminal Minds and CSI: Crime Scene Investigation.
