Biography

Tito Goya, also credited as Tito, was an American actor of Puerto Rican descent. Born Andrew Butler on 4 April 1951, he appeared in supporting and character roles in several films and television series during the 1970s and 1980s.

His credits include Marathon Man (1976) as Melendez, Short Eyes (1977) as Cupcakes, Andy Warhol's Bad (1977) as Manuel Rivera, All That Jazz (1979) as Attendant, Going in Style (1979) as Gypsy Cab Driver, Night of the Juggler (1980), Fort Apache, the Bronx (1981) as Jumper/Detective, and his final screen role as Carlos Mendez in two episodes of Miami Vice (1984). He also had television appearances in series such as Kojak.

Goya died on 1 December 1985 in Travis County, Texas, aged 34, from cirrhosis of the liver. He had been arrested in connection with a 1978 murder in Austin and was free on bond at the time of his death.
