Biography
Toby Froud is an English-American artist, puppeteer, sculptor and production designer. Born in London on 27 June 1984, he is the son of fantasy artist Brian Froud and puppet maker Wendy Froud. He appeared as the infant Toby in the 1986 film Labyrinth.
Froud trained at Wimbledon School of Art and worked as a sculptor and fabricator on stop-motion films including ParaNorman (2012), The Boxtrolls (2014) and Kubo and the Two Strings (2016). He wrote, directed and served as production designer on the 2014 fantasy short Lessons Learned. He later acted as design supervisor on the 2019 series The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance.
