Biography
Toby Halbrooks is an American film producer, writer and director. Born on 16 August 1978 in Dallas, Texas, he first gained prominence as a member of the band The Polyphonic Spree before moving into independent film.
He frequently collaborates with director David Lowery and producer James M. Johnston through their company Sailor Bear. His producing credits include Ain't Them Bodies Saints (2013), Upstream Color (2013), A Ghost Story (2017), The Old Man & the Gun (2018), The Green Knight (2021) and Mother Mary (2026). He also co-wrote the screenplays for Pete's Dragon (2016) and Peter Pan & Wendy (2023).
