Biography
Todd Biermann is an American television director and producer. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he studied film at Temple University and began his career in non-scripted television, working on shows such as TLC’s Trading Spaces in roles including scouting, casting, directing and producing.
He moved into scripted comedy with episodes of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia (from 2012) and has since directed for Broad City (2014–2016), Younger (2015–2019), Superstore (2015–2021), black-ish (2014–2022), The Mick (2017–2018), grown-ish (2018–2024), Mythic Quest (2020–2025) and High Potential (2024–2025), among others. He has also served as producer on several series, including It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Side Quest (2025).
Biermann has been married to actress Andrea Roth since October 2011; they have one child.
