Biography
Pete Chatmon is an American television and film director. Born in New York City on 1 June 1977, he graduated from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. His career began with the short film 3D (2000), which was selected for the Sundance Film Festival.
Chatmon has directed episodes of numerous series, including Grey’s Anatomy (2005), Insecure (2016), Silicon Valley (2014) and Yellowjackets (2021). He wrote, produced and directed the feature film Premium (2006) and the documentary 761st (2007). He received an NAACP Image Award nomination for Outstanding Directing in a Comedy Series for The Flight Attendant.
In 2019 he married actress Kelly McCreary, whom he met on the set of Grey’s Anatomy.
