Biography

Todd Cherniawsky is a Canadian production designer and art director. Born on 24 June 1968 in Edmonton, Alberta, he studied architecture and engineering at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology, industrial design at the University of Alberta, and production design at the American Film Institute Conservatory, graduating in 1996.

He began in the art department on films including Armageddon (1998) and worked as supervising art director on Avatar (2009) and Star Wars: The Last Jedi (2017). Cherniawsky has served as production designer on Splice (2009), Pet Sematary (2019), Star Trek: Picard (2020), Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022) and Ahsoka (2023).

His recent credits include production design on Dora and the Search for Sol Dorado (2025) and Lilo & Stitch (2025).
