Biography
Tom Luddy (1943–2023) was an American film producer and co-founder of the Telluride Film Festival. Born in New York City, he studied at the University of California, Berkeley, and later worked as a programmer and curator at the Pacific Film Archive in Berkeley and other Bay Area venues.
He maintained a long association with Francis Ford Coppola’s American Zoetrope, serving as director of special projects and producing or executive producing films including Mishima: A Life in Four Chapters (1985), Barfly (1987), Wind (1992) and The Secret Garden (1993). Luddy was married to Monique Montgomery and died in Berkeley, California.
