Biography
Tom Wright is an American actor and occasional director. Born Harold Thomas Wright on 29 November 1952 in Englewood, New Jersey, he began his career in theatre as an original member of the People's Light and Theater Company and appeared in numerous stage productions on and off Broadway.
Wright has worked extensively in film and television. He has appeared in several films directed by John Sayles, including Matewan (1987), City of Hope (1991), Passion Fish (1992), Sunshine State (2002) and Honeydripper (2007). Other notable film roles include parts in Creepshow 2 (1987), Barbershop (2002) and Barbershop 2: Back in Business (2004). On television he is known for recurring appearances in Seinfeld as Mr Morgan and guest roles in series including House, The Mentalist, Grimm, The Rookie and NCIS, in which he also directed an episode. He won the Best Actor award at the Santa Monica Film Festival in 2000 for Dumbarton Bridge.
