Biography
Tommy Caldwell is an American rock climber who has appeared in several climbing documentaries. He is credited as Self in Free Solo (2018), which follows Alex Honnold’s free solo ascent of El Capitan in Yosemite National Park.
Caldwell is also known for his appearances in The Dawn Wall (2017), Valley Uprising (2014) and The Alpinist (2021, archive footage). He has worked as a cinematographer on episodes of the Reel Rock series and as a rigger on The Dawn Wall.
