Biography
Tomoyasu Hotei is a Japanese musician, singer-songwriter, composer, record producer and actor. Born on 1 February 1962 in Takasaki, Gunma Prefecture, he first rose to prominence in the 1980s as the guitarist for the rock band Boøwy before pursuing a solo career.
Hotei has composed music for films and series including Samurai Fiction (1998), Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) and Transformers (2007). He is also credited on Demon City (2025) and has performed theme songs for Lupin the 3rd (2014) and Suicide Squad Isekai (2024).
