Biography
Tony Slattery (1959–2025) was an English actor and comedian. He studied modern and medieval languages at Trinity Hall, Cambridge, where he was a member and later president of the Cambridge Footlights.
Slattery became a regular performer on the Channel 4 improvisation series Whose Line Is It Anyway? from 1988. His film roles include Deveroux in The Crying Game (1992), Brian in Peter's Friends (1992) and Basil in How to Get Ahead in Advertising (1989). He received an Olivier Award nomination for his stage performance in Neville's Island (1994).
He was in a relationship with actor Mark Michael Hutchinson from 1986 until his death.
