Biography
Toshi Toda is a Japanese-American actor, also credited as 戸田年治 or 户田年治. He made his screen debut in the 1980 film It's My Turn as a professor and appeared on Broadway in the 1987 Lincoln Center revival of Anything Goes.
Toda has worked extensively in film and television since the 1990s. His credits include the role of Grocery Store Man in Menace II Society (1993), Japanese Tanker Captain in Godzilla (1998), Dentist in Pearl Harbor (2001), Card Reader in Mr. Deeds (2002), Watsuhita Executive in Click (2006), Japanese Businessman in Crank (2006), Colonel Adachi in Letters from Iwo Jima (2006), and Lord Sugiyama in the 2024 series Shōgun.
He has also provided voice work for video games such as Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault (2004) and Age of Empires III (2005), as well as ADR contributions to several films.
