Biography
Trevor Waite is a British film and television editor. Born in 1943 in Fetcham, Surrey, he has worked extensively in independent British cinema and drama.
He has collaborated frequently with director Michael Winterbottom on films including Butterfly Kiss (1995), Jude (1996), Welcome to Sarajevo (1997), The War Zone (1999), The Claim (2000) and 24 Hour Party People (2002). Other feature credits include Beyond the Sea (2004), Driving Lessons (2006) and The Kid (2010).
On television, Waite edited the 1993 series Cracker, for which he received a BAFTA nomination. He has also worked on Red Riding: The Year of Our Lord 1983 (2009), Prime Suspect: The Final Act (2006) and The Fear (2012), winning BAFTA awards for editing on the latter two projects.
