Biography
Trine Dyrholm is a Danish actress, singer and songwriter. Born on 15 April 1972 in Odense, she first gained national recognition as a 14-year-old singer, placing third in the Dansk Melodi Grand Prix. She made her screen debut in the 1990 teenage romance Springflod, winning the Bodil Award for Best Actress.
Dyrholm trained at the Danish National School of Theatre. She appeared as Pia in Thomas Vinterberg’s The Celebration (1998) and has since taken leading roles in films including In a Better World (2010), A Royal Affair (2012), Love Is All You Need (2012), The Commune (2016), Queen of Hearts (2019) and The Girl with the Needle (2024). She has won the Bodil Award for Best Actress five times, the Bodil for Best Supporting Actress twice, and six Robert Awards.
