Biography
Shih-Ching Tsou is a Taiwanese-American film producer and director. Born and raised in Taipei, Taiwan, she graduated from Fu Jen Catholic University before completing a master's degree in media studies at The New School in New York. She co-directed, co-wrote, produced and edited the film Take Out (2004) with Sean Baker.
Tsou has collaborated extensively with Baker as producer on Starlet (2012), Tangerine (2015), The Florida Project (2017) and Red Rocket (2021). She also served as costume designer on Tangerine and other projects. Her solo directorial debut, Left-Handed Girl (2025), which she wrote, produced and edited, premiered in the Critics' Week section of the Cannes Film Festival.
