Biography
Tyler Brooke, born Victor Hugo de Bierre, was an American actor. He appeared in more than 90 films between 1915 and 1943, frequently in supporting or uncredited roles, and contributed to soundtracks as a singer.
He began his career on the stage at the Globe Theatre in New York City in 1912. Brooke moved to Los Angeles in 1925 with the musical No, No, Nanette and worked for a time with producer Hal Roach before appearing in feature films.
His credits include Trouble in Paradise (1932) as Commercial Singer (uncredited), Love Me Tonight (1932) as Composer (uncredited), The Divorcee (1930) as Hank, Morning Glory (1933) as Charles Van Duesen, Imitation of Life (1934) as Tipsy Man at Party (uncredited), Bluebeard's 8th Wife (1938) as Clerk, and In Old Chicago (1938) as Specialty Singer. He died in Los Angeles on 2 March 1943.
