Biography
Tyrone Benskin is an English-Canadian actor, theatre director and former politician. Born on 29 December 1958 in Bristol, England, he moved to Canada in 1968 and studied theatre at CEGEP and university level in Montreal.
His screen credits include 300 (2006) as the Persian Emissary, Pieces of a Woman (2020) as a judge, The Boys as Elijah, Moonfall (2022) as a judge, Debris (2021) as George Jones and Neagley (2026) as Calvin Neagley. He served as Artistic Director of Black Theatre Workshop, Canada's oldest Black theatre company, and was elected Member of Parliament for Jeanne-Le Ber in Montreal in 2011, serving until 2015.
