Biography
Ulrich Felsberg is a German film producer. Born in February 1952, he has worked extensively in international co-productions since the 1980s.
In 1986 he took over management of Wim Wenders’ Road Movies Filmproduktion and has produced or executive produced several of the director’s films, including Until the End of the World (1991), Faraway, So Close! (1993) and The Million Dollar Hotel (2000). He has also collaborated frequently with Ken Loach on titles such as Land and Freedom (1995), My Name Is Joe (1998), Bread and Roses (2000) and The Wind That Shakes the Barley (2006).
Felsberg produced Buena Vista Social Club (1999) with Deepak Nayar; the documentary received an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary Feature. Other credits include Bend It Like Beckham (2002) and Ae Fond Kiss... (2004). He was a founding member of the Deutsche Filmakademie in 2003.
