Biography
Valerie Chu is a television writer. She studied screenwriting at the University of Southern California and began her career in production roles, including as a production staff member and writer’s assistant on Nashville (2012), where she received a writing credit in 2016.
She later worked as a showrunner’s assistant on series including Better Call Saul. Chu served as staff writer on Tracker (2024) and joined the writers’ room for The Pitt (2025) as story editor and executive story editor, also receiving writing credits and serving as co-producer. She has additional writing credits on Queen Sugar (2017) and was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award.
