Biography
Vanessa Berlowitz is a British producer, director and writer. After studying Human Sciences at Oxford University, she joined the BBC Natural History Unit, where she worked for 25 years producing and directing films for series including Planet Earth (2006), Frozen Planet (2011) and Planet Earth II (2016).
She became an executive producer at the BBC for Great Bear Stakeout (2013), Life in the Air (2016) and Planet Earth II. In 2018 she co-founded Wildstar Films. Her credits also include Elephant (2020), which she co-directed and produced for Disneynature. She has won a Primetime Emmy as series producer of Frozen Planet and received BAFTA and Grierson nominations as a director.
