Biography
Vanessa Estelle Williams, sometimes credited as Vanessa A. Williams, is an American actress and producer. She was born on 12 May 1963 in Brooklyn, New York, and studied at Marymount Manhattan College.
Williams is known for her role as Anne-Marie McCoy in the horror film Candyman (1992) and its 2021 sequel. Her other notable film work includes New Jack City (1991) as Keisha. On television she played Rhonda Blair in the first season of Melrose Place (1992–93) and Maxine Joseph-Chadway in the Showtime series Soul Food (2000–04), for which she received an NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series. She has also appeared in series such as The Flash and 9-1-1.
