Biography
Vic Tablian, also credited as Vik Tablian, is an Armenian-British actor born Varoujan Aintablian on 10 October 1937 in Jerusalem. He is the son of Armenian genocide survivors. He moved to Cyprus in 1948 and relocated to the United Kingdom in 1962.
Tablian is known for playing both Barranca and the Monkey Man in Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981). He returned to the Indiana Jones franchise as Demetrios in The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles (1992). Other credits include Midnight Express (1978), Murder on the Orient Express (1974), Navy Seals (1990), EastEnders (1985) and The Promise (2016).
