Biography
Victor Sen Yung (also credited as Sen Yung, Sen Young and Victor Cheung Young) was an American character actor. Born in San Francisco, California, on 18 October 1915, he made his significant film debut in 1938 as Jimmy Chan, the number two son, in Charlie Chan in Honolulu and appeared in further Charlie Chan films through 1942.
In 1940 he played Ong Chi Seng in The Letter. During the Second World War he served in the US Army Air Forces. He is also known for the recurring role of Hop Sing in the television series Bonanza (1959–1973) and for guest appearances in series including Get Smart, Hawaii Five-O and Kung Fu. Sen Yung died on 1 November 1980 in North Hollywood, California.
