Biography
Victoria Smurfit is an Irish actress born in Dublin on 31 March 1974. She trained at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School after studying theatre at A-level.
She first gained recognition for her role as Orla O’Connell in the BBC series Ballykissangel (1998–1999). Subsequent television work includes the lead role of DCI Róisín Connor in the ITV series Trial & Retribution (2003–2009) and Cruella de Vil in Once Upon a Time (2014–2018), for which she received an IFTA nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Drama in 2016. Film credits include The Beach (2000), About a Boy (2002) and Bulletproof Monk (2003).
In 2024 she played Maud O’Hara in the Disney+ adaptation of Jilly Cooper’s Rivals.
