Biography

Vinton Vernon was an American sound and music engineer who worked in film from the late 1920s to the early 1970s. He is credited as music mixer on Laura (1944).

His other credits include sound and music department roles on West Side Story (1961), It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World (1963), The Poseidon Adventure (1972) and many earlier films such as Queen Kelly (1929) and Our Daily Bread (1934). He was born on 23 October 1899 in Emporia, Kansas, and died on 27 June 1991 in Los Angeles, California.
