Biography
Vivian Nneka O. Oparah (born 30 December 1996) is a British actress and musician. She was born in Camden Town, London, and grew up in Tottenham. She trained briefly at the National Youth Theatre after a summer course and made her television debut in the BBC Three Doctor Who spin-off Class (2016) as Tanya Adeola.
Oparah is known for her roles in Teen Spirit (2019) as Kelli, I May Destroy You (2020) as Bisola, and the lead role of Yas in the romantic comedy Rye Lane (2023). For the latter she won the British Independent Film Award for Breakthrough Performance and received a British Academy Film Award nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Her stage work includes An Octoroon at the National Theatre and Orange Tree Theatre, for which she received award nominations. She also appears in the series Then You Run (2023) and Dead Hot (2024).
