Biography
Vivian Wu (born Wu Junmei; also credited as Junmei Wu and Wu Jun Mei) is a Chinese-born American actress. Born in Shanghai in 1966, she is the daughter of actress Zhu Manfang. She began acting at the age of 16 in the Shanghai Film Studio and was cast in her first major international role while still a teenager.
Wu made her screen debut as Wen Hsiu in The Last Emperor (1987). Subsequent film roles include Iron & Silk (1990), Heaven & Earth (1993), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993), The Joy Luck Club (1993), The Pillow Book (1996) and The Soong Sisters (1997). She has also appeared in television series including Away (2020) and Station 19 (2018). She is married to director and producer Oscar Luis Costo.
