Biography

Walt Mulconery, also credited as Walter Mulconery, was an American film editor. He began working in the industry as an assistant editor on seven episodes of the television series Biography in 1963.

Mulconery's feature editing credits include Personal Best (1982), Flashdance (1983) and The Karate Kid (1984). For Flashdance, co-edited with Bud S. Smith, he received an Academy Award nomination for Best Film Editing and won a BAFTA Award for Best Editing. He also served as additional editor on the US version of The Adventures of Milo and Otis (1986). He directed the documentary Big Wave (1984).
