Biography

Walter Fasano is an Italian film editor. Born on 10 April 1970 in Bari, he studied at the DAMS programme of the University of Bologna and trained in film editing at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome.

He has maintained a long collaboration with director Luca Guadagnino since the late 1990s, editing films including The Protagonists (1999), Melissa P. (2005), I Am Love (2009, on which he also contributed to the screenplay), A Bigger Splash (2015), Call Me by Your Name (2017) and Suspiria (2018). He has also edited work for directors such as Dario Argento.

Fasano received a nomination for the Independent Spirit Award for Best Editing for Call Me by Your Name and won the Nastri d'Argento (Silver Ribbon) for the same film.
