Biography
Walter Sande (9 July 1906 – 22 November 1971) was an American character actor. Born in Denver, Colorado, he began his career in films in the late 1930s after working as a musical director.
He appeared in numerous supporting roles, often uncredited, in films including Citizen Kane (1941), To Have and Have Not (1945), A Place in the Sun (1951) and Bad Day at Black Rock (1955). He played Jim Delaney in The Racket (1951) and Paul Revere in Johnny Tremain (1957). Sande was also active in television, with roles in series such as Bewitched (1964) and Bonanza (1959).
