Biography
Wendie Jo Sperber (15 September 1958 – 29 November 2005) was an American actress. Born in Hollywood, California, she trained at the summer Teenage Drama Workshop at California State University, Northridge, and began her screen career in 1978 with small roles in Corvette Summer and I Wanna Hold Your Hand.
Sperber appeared as Linda McFly in Back to the Future (1985) and reprised the role in Back to the Future Part III (1990). She was a regular cast member on the television sitcom Bosom Buddies (1980–1982) and had supporting roles in films including Bachelor Party (1984) and 1941 (1979), as well as later television appearances in series such as Married... with Children and Will & Grace.
She worked repeatedly with director Robert Zemeckis on early films before her death from breast cancer in Los Angeles at the age of 47.
