Biography
Wendy Crewson is a Canadian actress and producer. She was born on 9 May 1956 in Hamilton, Ontario, and trained at Queen's University in Kingston, where she received the Lorne Greene Award for theatre, before studying at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
Crewson began her career in Canadian television and gained wider recognition with her role in the 1991 film The Doctor. She has appeared in numerous films including The Santa Clause (1994) and its sequels, Air Force One (1997), Bicentennial Man (1999), What Lies Beneath (2000), The Vow (2012) and Room (2015), as well as television series such as 24, Saving Hope and Superman & Lois. She has received six Gemini Awards, two Canadian Screen Awards and an ACTRA Award, and was inducted into Canada's Walk of Fame.
