Biography
Will Arbery is an American playwright and screenwriter. Born in Nashua, New Hampshire, he grew up in Dallas, Texas. He holds a BA in English and Drama from Kenyon College and an MFA in Writing for the Screen and Stage from Northwestern University.
Arbery is known for his plays Heroes of the Fourth Turning (2019), a finalist for the 2020 Pulitzer Prize for Drama and recipient of the Whiting Award for Drama; Plano; and Evanston Salt Costs Climbing. He has received additional honours including Obie, New York Drama Critics Circle, and Lucille Lortel awards for playwriting.
In television, he wrote for the HBO series Succession (2018), co-writing the season four episode "Living+" with Georgia Pritchett, for which they shared a Writers Guild of America Award. He also served as supervising producer on the series Irma Vep (2022).
