Biography
William Chubb is a British actor born in 1954 in Marylebone, London. He has worked extensively in theatre, including productions at the National Theatre, and has appeared in National Theatre Live broadcasts such as Othello (2013) as Brabantio and Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead (2017) as Polonius.
On screen, Chubb has taken supporting roles in films including 6 Days (2017) as the MI5 Spokesman, Empire of Light (2022) as Doctor Laird, and H Is for Hawk (2025) as the Master. His television credits include The Ambassador (1998–1999) as Stephen Tyler, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power (2022–2024) as the High Priest, The Sandman (2022) as Edmund, and Vampire Academy (2022) as Kieran Tanner. He was previously married to journalist Cassandra Jardine until her death in 2012.
