Biography
Willoughby Gray (5 November 1916 – 13 February 1993) was an English actor of stage and screen. Born in London, he served with distinction during the Second World War with GHQ Liaison Regiment (Phantom) and was appointed MBE for his services.
Gray achieved popularity on television in the mid-1950s with 38 appearances in the series The Adventures of Robin Hood. His film roles included Dr. Reilly in The Mummy (1959), Dr. Carl Mortner in the James Bond film A View to a Kill (1985), and the King in The Princess Bride (1987). He also appeared as Sir John Stevens in the BBC series Howards' Way (1985–1990). He was married to choreographer Felicity Gray from 1945 until her death in 1986.
